Dale Borough lies southeast of Johnstown along the old PA Route 56 path (Bedford St.) When the Route 56 Expressway was completed in the early 1960s, the route was moved to the highway section instead. Dale is a fairly small community (roughly one square mile)although it does have its own Police Department and Volunteer Fire Company.
Dale is home to many local establishments including Little E’s Pizzeria, Chillie’s Pub, Cold Steel MMA Fighting Club, etc.
