Woodvale

Woodvale is another stop along PA271 as you head Northeast out of Johnstown.  This is also another area that leaves behind standing evidence of Johnstown’s rich industrial history, the old Bethlehem Steel Mill Buildings.  Currently, new tenants have moved into some of the facilities.  Rollock and EMF are two scrap metal collection facilities that currently inhabit two of the large buildings that used to bring the cash into Johnstown. Woodvale is also home to local auto garages, Big V Surplus, many churches, and bars/restaurants.
