Mayor’s Welcome Letter

As the mayor of Johnstown, I welcome all visitors to our great city and to MyJohnstownPA.com.  Johnstown is known worldwide as the “Friendly City”.  Our citizens take pride in our rich ethnic heritage.  Close knit neighborhoods compliment a beautiful downtown business district.

Each year Johnstown hosts tourist attractions such as the Polka Festival in late May featuring some of the best Polka Bands in the country, Thunder in the Valley, one of the largest Motorcycle Rallies in the country, the AAABA Tournament the finest amateur baseball Tournament in  the country, the Ethnic Festival,  Musicfest and more.

Johnstown will focus on new development in the future.  We enjoy having you visit our city and possibly consider making this your permanent home here.
