Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Police have caught the impersonator of a commercial model and he turned out to be a man with a feminine voice that fooled some businessmen into giving him money in exchange for online and phone dates.
A sting operation at a motel in Texas in December was conducted after John Carbona, a private investor and inventor from Fort Myers, Florida, got suspicious about an e-mail from Bree Condon asking him for money.
Carbona met the real Condon and found out she was being impersonated. Condon referred Carbona to her private investigator and the ensuing entrapment exposed Justin Brown, 24, as the impostor.
Brown started conning members of the SeekingMillionaire.com by posing as Condon. One victim paid him $15,000 thinking he was talking to the model.
Brown is now in jail in Austin, Texas and is facing fraud charges.
